Where your money goes

Socialist Worker is produced solely through the support of our readers, supporters and those in the wider movement. A donation to our appeal will mean we can continue to be the voice at the heart of the resistance, and to expand what we do.

We rushed reporters and supporters to the Isle of Wight when the occupation broke out at the Vestas wind-turbine plant. And we kept them there providing up-to-the-minute information and regularly updated reports on our web site to carry the news far and wide. We were also able to provide support and solidarity to the workers inside and outside the factory.

We want to be able to provide this combination of reporting and support at every picket line and protest, every walkout and occupation. As the resistance increases this will mean sending more reporters to more places.

When necessary we want to expand the paper, producing special editions and four page supplements as we have done in the past, such as those on Gaza and for students this year.

Our international coverage has included reports from across the globe including on the recent intensification of the Egyptian strike wave and from inside Afghanistan . We want to send people into the heart of the action, and to get stories from those who are at the front of the resistance.

We want to continue to update our resources and ability to produce and distribute the paper. A continual commitment to the Socialist Worker website is more important than ever, to provide accurate and up-to-date information for activists across the globe.

We run a financial appeal because to do all this, we need your help. Please donate whatever you can to keep Socialist Worker at the heart of the resistance.

"During the time we were in occupation, we would have been lost without Socialist Worker. You gave us guidance, support, help and the media coverage that was so important. You brought sleeping bags and banners. Without all that, we wouldn't have survived the first few days. Without you, we wouldn't have got what we won."

Elizabeth Boakye, Visteon worker
