What We Do

Against the war

While the mainstream press plays down the anti-war movement, we report on demonstrations, conferences and other events. And we arm activists with the information they need to campaign against the bloodshed.

International

We reported from the Cairo Conference, and Socialist Worker journalists travelled to Kenya to cover the World Social Forum. Last summer a Socialist Worker journalist and photographer travelled to Lebanon to report on the war.

Industrial

We build solidarity by reporting workers' struggles. We have provided in-depth coverage of major disputes like the post strike and the civil servants' dispute. We have reported important victories you won't read about in the mainstream press, like the Glasgow care workers.

Analysis

We provide weekly background analysis of the ideas behind the news. That includes the history - often a hidden history - of past struggles, and of historical events.

Movement

We help to build resistance to privatisation and war. We support organisations from Respect to community campaigns. Our supporters were involved in building Marxism 2006, the political festival attended by 4000 people this summer.
