Why Socialist Worker Needs Your Money

It is more important than ever to stand on the side of those fighting against war, oppression and injustice. From the smallest local disputes to the biggest national and international campaigns, Socialist Worker is at the heart of the struggle for a better world.

Socialist Worker has helped to mobilise for all the anti-war demonstrations, meetings and events. We have thrown our weight behind the postal and public sector workers fighting the attacks on their pay and conditions, raising the banner of united action and solidarity. We’ve played a vital role in Respect and in the project to build a left alternative to Labour.

No other newspaper reports on as many of the activities and arguments of activists in the trade union movement. While the corporate media dismiss strikes and protests, Socialist Worker not only reports what those fighting back have to say but helps build solidarity for them.

In the last year our journalists have reported from the World Social Forum and Cairo Conference as well as Latin America, Africa and France to report on resistance to war, imperialism and the neo-liberal project.

Socialist Worker remains one the few spaces for critical engagement with social issues - we talk about what life is really like in Britain today.

We fight to be a voice and an organising tool for the movement; resisting neo-liberalism and the politics of despair and championing a politics of hope.

All of this costs a huge amount of resources and money. This year we hope to raise £150,000 to enable us to carry on with the work we do. Please support us in whatever way you can.
